Groups

Okay let's add groups to PNN.

Groups could go in many ways.

     * A simple blogring that people can join. A widget on each paper
shows the other members of the blog ring, or links to next and
       previous.

     * Give edit permission to other editors in a group. Then several
people could maintain the same newspaper. This is currently
possible via email, but editors are not identified.

     * More complicated permissions...restrict viewing to a group of
people. The password-protection feature fulfills this now.

  • Another variation: 1. We add a 'group' status check box to the privacy section options. 2. The author emails members of the group and asks them to be subscribers (and PNN members) 3. The author goes to his preferences and sees a list of subscribers. He check mark the one's that are to be group members. 4. All PNN members, that are signed in, and are group members, can edit the page 5. All group members would get emails when the page is updated. They can also manage this just like they would manage any other subscription.
